Modular size of clay-products units
Studies made during past 2 yr on present unit masonry sizes as used in conventional building construction and their adaptability to coordinated system; results discussed; recommendations made for single masonry units based on whole multiples of 4 in. with consideration given to various joint thicknesses; methods shown for relating unit sizes in fractional multiples of 4-in. plus mortar joints to grid pattern; suggestions for standardization of unit sizes proposed.
