Precast joists with wire reinforcement
To save steel, concrete floor design has been developed for mass housing projects in Los Angeles which keeps cost below that for wood floors with plastered ceilings; no bars are used in floor system; reinforcement in floor is wire fabric, and in precast joists cold drawn wire is used.
