Impact resistance of reinforced concrete slabs
Impact tests of 15 concrete slabs indicated that use of supplementary reinforcement in form of series of overlapping spiral coils increased their impact resistance by 1 1/2 to approximately 2 1/2 times with energy loads varying from 1400 ft lb to 5000 ft lb. (See also - discussion Nov 1943 p 412-3)
