Influence of durability of aggregate upon durability of resulting concrete
14 aggregates of different physical and chemical properties were used in construction of 2 by 2 by 11.4-in. concrete beams; representative samples of each were tested for soundness by freezing and thawing, dynamic modulus of elasticity being used as index of progressive deterioration; results are compared with field service records where available. (See also - discussion p 804-7)
