Factors influencing reflectivity of white Portland cement concretes
Reflectivity of white cement concretes now in wide use for curbs and other reflecting surfaces is affected by types of aggregates, water, cement ratio, method of curing, and method of finishing; freezing and thawing, and exposure tests of 150 summer and 100 winter days show that loss of reflectivity may be as high as 70%; various ratios of light and dark sand to cement give information useful in designing mix.
