Pre-framed timber bridges in New Hampshire
New Hampshire State highway department during winter of 1941-1942 developed plans for two stone arch bridges and several wooden superstructures for spans varying in length from 20 to 65 ft; for timber spans under 30 ft, simple stringer types were used, and for spans 30 ft and over, deck or through pony trusses; all designs provided for 24 ft clear roadway and live load capacity of H-15; fabrication and erection methods; costs.
