Simplified analysis of skewed reinforced concrete frames and arches
Simplified general method of analysis for solid barreled skewed reinforced concrete rigid frames and arches; method is based on assumption that virtual hinges exist along z-axes at bottoms of footings, due to compressibility of soil; practical application is made to design of grade separation access structure of small span but heavy skew, constructed by Westchester (NY) Cross Country Parkway Authority in 1942. (See also - n 7 (discussion) Sept p 1044-8)
