After some experiments, State farms were set up; peasants were employees of State receiving weekly wage, living in great blocks of dwellings in central area developed like town; farms were called "Collectives"; great change in system came when Constitution of 1936 gave collective farms use of their land forever, and gave each member use of his cottage and garden and holding varying from 1/2 to 2 1/2 acres.
