Planning and forecasting metropolitan development
Development and testing of forecasting technique designed to help improve effectiveness of metropolitan planning; technique distributes regional activity forecasts to small areas based on relationships which are sensitive to planned changes in public policies such as transportation facility improvements, open-space and zoning controls, planning of public utilities, taxation, and other measures; application of land-use forecasting models in conjunction with traffic forecasting models; mathematical description of polimetric model; definition of reliability indices used to evaluate empiric and polimetric models.
