Jackblock system is described; first application in Netherlands of new construction method for office building at Rijswijk; starting with roof, lower floors are built under it in succession at base level and whole is gradually jacked up; number of floors thus increases upon support of hydraulic jacks; concrete core and steel columns in facade are jacked up at same time and special jacking equipment was developed.
