Two circular buildings, four and six stories high, are suspended framing system; 22 tension assemblies fan out radially like umbrella ribs intercepted by steel wide-flange compression members; hangers are suspended from intersections of tension and compression members; suspended framing, permits building from top down, starting with 6-in. roof slab; forms were dropped with block and tackle, avoiding dismantling; center is 26-in. diam reinforced concrete column with capital supporting core roof slab; surrounding column is 40 ft-diam core wall with 11 concrete columns, supported by concrete caissons founded on rock.
