Reinforced-cum-prestressed concrete bridge across Gambhirkhad, Himachal Pradesh
Bridge, which consists of both reinforced and prestressed concrete spans, is supported on V-type piers which extend 50 ft below low water level; inclined legs of piers, together with part of reinforced concrete decking, form rigid frames between which is suspended central 130-ft long precast prestressed span; total length of bridge is 350 ft; main aspects of design and construction of bridge.
