On shock response of inelastic beams
Response of uniform clamped-free beam driven into inelastic range by half-sine, triangular, and rectangular ground acceleration pulses is investigated; shock spectra for beams possessing bilinear moment-curvature properties; data for supported-supported beam; beams are represented by lumped parameter models and equations of motion are solved on analog computer; effects of pulse shape and duration are evaluated.
