Mechanism of sand movement on coastal dunes,
Method for calculating rate of sand transport by wind was developed; method was based on experience gained in field of sediment motion in rivers and all available field and wind tunnel data on subject; results of study are represented as theoretical relation between flow intensity and intensity of sediment load; method is applicable for calculating rate of sand transport under wide range of wind velocities and for sand sizes ranging from α 0.145 mm to 1.00 mm; application of derived method for calculating sand transport by wind from natural beaches is given.
