Design and construction of granolithic floor toppings
Investigations into cause of failure of granolithic floor toppings; curling, breaking of bond between base and topping concretes, and cracking are most common failures and are less likely to occur where topping has been laid monolithically with structural base concrete; importance of considering requirements of floor design, site control, good workmanship, suitable aggregates and topping mixes, and continuous curing are emphasized.
