Study of diagnostic techniques for identifying earthquakes
Several diagnostic techniques are examined for identifying earthquakes as events distinct from possible underground nuclear explosions; typical or 'mean' explosion for differs in statistically significant way from 'mean' explosion for most of techniques; because of variability of earthquake signatures, many earthquake parameters fall within range observed for explosions.
