Flexural rigidity of reinforced concrete
By assuming that for short tests stress at particular point in reinforced concrete beam may be identified with particular strain, general nonlinear theory of bending is proposed; case of parabolic stress distribution in rectangular beam is examined and expressions describing moment curvature relations for various parameters are obtained; these expressions can be used to calculate angles of discontinuity which may be developed in reinforced concrete section at moments up to ultimate.
