Experimental lightweight flat plate structures -- 6. Design erection of post-tensioned flat plate
First flat plate of its kind constructed in Australia is 3 in. thick, stands on 12 precast prestressed columns 4 in. sq and reinforcement in both directions was post-tensioned; slab and columns were made with expanded shale concrete; structure has 3 spans of 9 ft in one direction and 2 spans of 12 ft in other; structural design, construction and control tests described.
