Concrete strength, paste strength, cement hydration, and maturity rule
It is commonly held that strength of concrete can be expressed in terms of maturity, which is product of time and temperature above -10 C; it is shown that there are important systematic deviations from maturity rule; in cement paste, similar deviations arise when this same maturity concept is applied to degree of hydration or to strength of paste matrix itself.
