Use of bokaro fly ash with cement for durability and development of strength in concrete
Analysis and tests of 2 samples of fly ash from Bokaro thermal plant, India, indicates that they possess properties of active pozzolan and may be used in concrete as admixture of cement; fly ash enhances strength of concrete when used in excess of 20% replacement of cement; it is also evident that development of strength is slow and less with fly ash from waste pit.
