Importance of modulus of elasticity in describing elastic-plastic behavior of rocks and building materials
By analysis of load-deformation characteristics of special cements it was possible to establish maximum permissible loads by determining admissible permanent deformations and defining effective E-modulus; functional relations between E-modulus, effective E-modulus, breaking strength, and constant for elasticity loss could be proved mathematically; existence of general law for behavior of rocklike materials seems indicated.
