How technique of CPM makes it possible for architects to apply positive controls to problems of construction sequences, schedules and costs; for simplicity, office building project used as illustration has ben subdivided into only 12 activities, namely, demolition, construction of new foundations, installation of underground services, structural steel erection, exterior wall construction, roof and roofing installation, first and second floor slab construction, start of mechanical and electrical services installation, finish of mechanical and electrical work, interior partition construction, and painting and finishing.
