Construction of foundations for new blastfurnaces at Bhilai
Combination of methods for uninterrupted pouring of foundations for fourth and fifth blast furnaces at Bhilai Steel Plant; quantity of concrete involved in each case was 1987 cu m and pouring was accomplished in 41 hr and 31 1/4 hr, respectively; continuity of operations was necessitated by Russian specification which did not permit any construction joint in foundations; retarding agent, sulfited cellulose extract, was admixed with concrete.
