Laboratory test to investigate spreading characteristics of dense bituminous mixtures
Typical rolled asphalt and dense tar surfacing were examined in full scale trial and by means of laboratory test to establish practical scale to which results of laboratory test could be related, and limits beyond which particular mixtures became unspreadable; screed test agreed well with subjective assessments of materials examined in trials.
