Tests of girders, subjected to high shearing stresses
Ultimate strength tests were conducted on 2 large reinforced concrete girders with thin webs; stirrups were proportioned according to truss analogy theory without any deduction in shear diagram, using allowable working stress in steel of 2400 kg/sq cm; in comparison of results of 2 tests, inclined web reinforcement proved to be considerably superior to vertical. English summary.
