Shear strength of reinforced concrete beams without web reinforcement
Distribution of stresses over beam cross section; determination of maximum diagonal tension due to shear only; beams in tests were subjected to 2 concentrated loads and superimposed bending moments; tests were carried out with variables of concrete strength, shear span, ratio of shear span to effective depth of beam and effect of end anchorage, and percentage of tension reinforcement; factors affecting load at diagonal cracking; method for calculation of cracking load.
