Moment redistribution and rotation capacity of plastic hinges in redundant reinforced concrete beams
Test program with 2 series of 2-span continuous reinforced concrete beams to investigate factors affecting rotation capacity, particularly effect of steel percentages and redistribution factors; derivation of simple formulas for evaluation of effective rotation and experimental derivation of rotation capacity were obtained; test results show that, necessary conditions being fulfilled, limit design may safely be applied to continuous reinforced concrete beams.
