New auditorium in Brownwood, Tex, consists of concrete dome 5 in. thick and 200 ft in diam, lifted to position by 36 12-in. steel columns; building will have 100-ft diam arena suitable for activities ranging from livestock shows and sports events to stage or theater productions; 36 rigid beams, precast and welded to columns to form solid unit, support seats in 480 separate precast seat tiers which will hold 3000 auditorium chairs.
