High ramp areas become flood control reservoirs
Solution of drainage problems caused by new highways; in order to solve difficulties in storm sewer system at Berkeley, Ill, pending reservoir with three drainage areas was included in construction of Northern Illinois Toll Highway; 42-in. pipe carries flow into reservoir and 24 in. pipe acts as outlet; minute by minute flow pattern is described.
