Replacement of bridge at Mulheim
New Schlossbruecke is composite design, with 150 m long and 24.2 m wide concrete deck combined with steel substructure consisting of two lines of box girders; eight steel girders are of welded construction; erected alongside original stone arch bridge, when completed it will carry traffic while old bridge is being demolished, and then moved laterally into its place.
