Another aluminum highway bridge
Radically new type of span, designed for Reynolds Metals Co by Italian engineer, G.BARONI, weighs slightly over 9 1/2 lb per sq ft, about 1/4 weight of conventional steel bridge of equal load carrying capacity; six to eight men, equipped with only mobile crane, will be able to erect 24 by 100 ft highway bridge in less than day; aircraft construction techniques in light gage sheet and extrusions employed; first Reynolds-Baroni bridge is expected to be erected in Alabama.
