Douglas Fir glulam timber bridge at Priest Rapids dam is for temporary, 4 to 5 yr use; 100 ft long girders are of 12 3/4 by 63 3/8 in. sections; four girders are used in each of 15 spans; creosote pressure treatment applied; glulam beams are cheaper than steel, quickly obtained, and are easily and speedily placed and dismantled with high salvage value.
