New $36 million plant produces 100,000 tons of asbestos yearly; draining of 500 acre lake and dredging of 30 million cu yd of overburden for plant construction; open pit mining to 500 ft depth planned; main mill building is 150×260 ft, 130 ft high; crushing, drying, screening, final separation of fibers, and equipment is described.
