Giant tetrapods armor revetments against sea
Some 8900 "starfish" blocks each containing up to 25 tons of reinforced concrete are being used in construction of new naval base at La Rota, Bay of Cadiz, Spain, and as revetment for main jetty at Asmara, Turkey; blocks of this form, when accurately linked together, will protect breakwater against heaviest swells.
