Large-scale highway research -- AASHO road test
Development and characteristics of test sponsored by Am Assn State Highway Officials to be made on 4-lane divided highway which will become part of relocation of US 6 near Ottawa, Ill, after test; project includes pavements of rigid and flexible types, eight steel girder and eight concrete bridges; truck-tractor semi-trailers and smaller 2-axle vehicles will be test vehicles; two auxiliary loops, for light vehicles and for special studies, are adjacent.
