Study of air hardening of lime mortar
Study of air hardening of lime mortar; contrary to prevalent theory, it is shown that silica contained in quartz sand used as mortar aggregate is attacked by lime hydrate under formation of calcium silicate, not only in case of moist mixture of lime and sand, but also in hardening of lime mortar itself.
