Effect of climatic factors on subgrade moisture conditions
Measurements were made under several road and airfield pavements in both tropical and semitropical countries; where water table is close to surface, it is shown to be main factor in determining moisture condition of subgrade irrespective of climate; conditions in regions where water table lies deeper; relation between suction of soil moisture in subgrade and Thornthwaite Moisture Index.
