Design of interceptor drains in heterogeneous soils
Approximate method for including variable permeability in design procedure is presented; use of water table contour map for transposing flow system in heterogeneous soil to equivalent system having constant permeability throughout; reverse-transformation of prediction from uniform soil system to field problem gives expected condition after drainage facilities are installed.
