Anisotropy of thermal expansion and thermal microstresses
Review of literature concerns effects caused by thermal microstresses and analyzes influence various factors have on magnitude of these effects; emphasis is placed on creep of noncubic metals during thermal cycling, on thermal fatigue of second kind, and on microstructural changes observed during metallographic investigation of "internal" deformation.
