Review considers status of undergraduate and graduate education in naval architecture, with some attention to marine engineering, in United States and also gives information on programs at other institutions throughout world; programs at University of Michigan are discussed in detail and those at Webb Institute of Naval Architecture, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and University of California at Berkeley are described more briefly; some changes that may occur in future are suggested.
