A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Effect of ceramic body; adverse effect of coarse silica particles in ceramic body on appearance of its glaze is due to manner in which they retain bubble in glaze; this effect was observed with both vitreous and crystalline silica particles, but it was not found to occur with alumina particles; cause of bubble retention is considered to be particular chemical relationship between silica particle and glaze.
