A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Analytical study determining degradation downstream of large dams; after construction of new dams existing regime will be disturbed, because all transported solid material will be trapped and clear water released to downstream in more uniform distribution; because of these changes of flow conditions and releases of sediment free water from reservoir, river bed will be eroded gradually until new equilibrium stage is reached; degradation problem depends on number of factors, changing with time and distance from dam.
