Dry floor -- New approach to high rise apartment buildings
Method of erection of high-strength reinforced deck ready for application to flooring system over steel joists. 4 ft on center, by use of incombustible precast metal-edged gypsum plank; gypsum planks are laid dry, without grout, by interlocking tongue and groove metal edges; to develop shear diaphragm resistance, plank units were attached to joists by welding.
