Paper presents hydraulic problems relating to computation of hurricane surge, hurricane waves, runup of waves for providing hurricane flood protection as well as effects of rainfall upon protected area during period of normal and high tides; information is presented on structures that were designed for hurricane protection project, including structural gravity walls, earth levees, and interior drainage system.
