Civil engineer looks at surveying education
Attrition in surveying courses has apparently been going on for many years, but more recent shift in emphasis from engineering to science has brought about major changes in engineering education, with result that surveying has been eliminated completely from some college civil engineering curricula; two types of professional survey operations are discussed, those of civil engineer and those of survey specialist, with view toward education that can best be contrived to suit each need.
