Three basic problems in lighting nurses' monitoring station in coronary care addition to Riverside Hospital in Newport News, Va, are outlined and final lighting design is described; with surface reflectance factor of 75% for ceiling, 85% for walls, and 30% for floor, reading of 115 ft-c at chart table and 100 ft-c at center of each desk complex was recorded after 4 mo operation.
