Calculation of stability of thin-walled cylindrical shells
Formulas are derived for shells subjected to external pressure; they incorporate critical pressure, shell thickness, longitudinal plasticity modulus, etc; critical stresses for different ratios of shell thickness to diameter for steel were calculated and correlated graphically; nomogram was constructed.
