Second interim report of Committee of Institution of Civil Engineers on design of arch dams; report deals with 12 methods of investigation, eight being analytical methods, including electric analog method and three methods based on shell theory; four methods employ model techniques; 11 methods were applied to elastic dam in rigid valley; reasons for considerable discrepancies between results obtained by different methods are discussed.
