Efficiency of underground antiseepage contour of hydroelectric plants
Distribution of uplift and head losses vary and depend on seepage properties of foundation, as well as on layout and design of antiseepage facilities; during six years of operation of Volzhskaya hydro plant seepage head on structure is almost completely eliminated by use of upstream cutoff; permeability of concrete is significant factor affecting seepage underneath dams; this factor must be considered for low permeability of foundation.
