Runway girders; loads to which runway girder is subjected are examined, and loading and stress conditions are discussed; analysis is made of effects of various boundary conditions corresponding to chosen construction type, stress distribution in most common form of I-sections, and effects of various components of section on stress distribution; some remarks are included concerning stress combinations having led to failures described in literature.
